1. Show reliability outcomes, not just tool fluency

Every DevOps resume lists Kubernetes and Terraform. What separates candidates is showing what those tools enabled: 'Reduced MTTR from 94 minutes to 11 minutes' is a resume-stopper. Frame your infrastructure work as outcomes in availability, deployment speed, cost, and incident reduction.

2. Include cost impact wherever you can

Cloud infrastructure decisions have direct dollar impact. If you optimized resources, renegotiated reserved instances, right-sized workloads, or eliminated redundant services — quantify the savings. '$340K annual infrastructure cost reduction' is one of the most compelling bullets a DevOps engineer can have.

3. List certifications prominently if they're current

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, CKA, and HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate are genuine differentiators in a competitive DevOps market. List them in a certifications section and include the year earned. Expired certifications (3+ years old) should be re-taken or removed.

4. Show security and compliance work
