SteepedResume is an AI-powered resume tool, operated by Steeped Digital, a division of Sirrius Office Inc. Every feature on this site, including the roast, rewrite, cover letter generator, and ATS checker, is powered by artificial intelligence. We are transparent about this because we believe AI, used well, produces better results than generic templates or keyword-stuffing tools. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

What we collect

Resume content. When you upload or paste a resume, we send the text to our AI provider (Anthropic Claude) to generate your roast, rewrite, cover letter, or ATS analysis. We do not store your resume text on our servers after the request completes. Your resume is processed in memory and discarded.

Job descriptions. When you paste or scrape a job description, the same applies. The text is sent to the AI for processing and is not stored afterward.

Email address. If you subscribe to our newsletter or create an account, we collect your email address. We use Resend to manage email delivery. We will never sell your email address to third parties.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog to track anonymous usage patterns such as page views, button clicks, and feature usage. This helps us improve the product. PostHog does not sell your data.

How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide the AI-powered resume tools you requested
• Process your payments through Stripe
• Send you email updates if you opted in
• Improve our product based on anonymous usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Period.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate SteepedResume:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) processes your resume and job description text to generate results. Anthropic does not use data sent through their API to train models.
• Stripe processes payments. Stripe is PCI-DSS certified.
• Vercel hosts the application.
• Resend delivers transactional and marketing emails.
• PostHog provides anonymous product analytics.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and payment processing. PostHog may set analytics cookies to track anonymous usage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Data retention

Resume and job description content is processed in real time and not stored after your session. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Payment records are retained as required by law and Stripe’s policies.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
• Opt out of analytics tracking by using a browser ad blocker

Children

SteepedResume is not intended for use by anyone under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
